Welcome to RetireCoast’s Interactive template designed to help Retirees who wish to start a new business after retirement. This template will at the least help you gather the information you need.

Instructions for printing and downloading the business plan

When you have finished entering data into the plan, you will see a button at the bottom where you click and the business plan will be generated. After the plan is generated you will see a button to print. At this point you have choices.

Your printer window should appear where you have the option to save the file as a PDF or other type of file or to print the plan. Choosing the PDF allows you to save your work.

Budget

A good plan is not complete without a budget. You will need to create a budget for one year by month showing income, operating costs, and profit. Describe the details in section 8 above. In the Appendix, list the budget as an attachment.

RetireCoast will be adding a budget template in our next article about starting a business after retirement and the required budget. That article will go through what you will need to include in the budget and how to use the template.

Your plan will not be complete without several attachments to the plan which should be included in the plan binder. Any of the questions above that require more than a fairly simple one- or two-paragraph answer should be addressed in a separate document. Here is a good article about budgets
